Hey there! I’m Chelsea, the one-woman show behind Ocelot, crafting from my home studio in sunny ol’ Yorkshire, England.
After years in luxury fashion, being disheartened by the waste and bad practices, I knew I wanted to do things differently. Ocelot was born with a focus on creating timeless, ethical pieces that can all be customised to reflect your individuality.
Inspired by dreamy vintage aesthetics, classic silhouettes and playful details, I absolutely adore the art of dressmaking. Whether it’s a unique bridal outfit, a special occasion piece or an everyday dress, every stitch is placed with intention and to honour the slow, thoughtful process that makes each piece truly special.
I love working with my clients. Hearing their joyful reactions to the pieces I create just for them - it’s the best feeling. But Ocelot is more than just clothes to me. I’m on a mission to build a community through my designs, with each piece helping to raise a little money for charity and sprinkling some joy.

I run my business solo, so from our first chat to the final stitch, you’ll have my undivided attention. Dressmaking is my passion and I pour love and precision into every piece, ensuring each one is crafted with artistry and care. Whether you're choosing a Standard Made-to-Order design, making a few tweaks or going for a fully bespoke creation, you can count on a personal touch in every step.
Think of me as your Vision Interpreter. I don’t just sew; I turn your dreams, ideas and Pinterest boards into a one-of-a-kind creation that feels unmistakably you. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all process - your dressmaking journey with me is more of a "Choose Your Own Adventure," where you're the heroine at the heart of every decision. The process is personal, hands-on and full of care, making the journey just as special as the dress itself.

I’m all about helping you express your unique style. Each Ocelot piece is designed with the option of custom sizing and personalised details to better reflect who you are. In 2023, I decided it was time to Give Back. Now, 2% of every order goes to charity each year. So, when you buy a dress from me, you’re supporting a small business & joining something bigger, spreading joy and helping me make a difference ❤️
2023: donation went to Simon on the Streets, an incredible Yorkshire charity that supports people facing homelessness.
Sustainability is big around here. Only using eco-friendly and deadstock fabrics that are gentle on both your skin and the planet. New materials meet strict environmental standards and unused designer fabrics are transformed into something new. Even our packaging is FSC certified, recyclable, and free from plastics and other nasties. It’s all about making clothing that feels good in every way!
As a small business, I’m committed to being as ethical as possible. I repurpose materials, source locally, and create each piece to order to minimise waste and use only the best practices. Every order also contributes to my partnership with Ecologi, where a tree is planted to offset Ocelot's minimal carbon footprint. Together we’re doing everything we can to make a positive impact on the planet.
